So, yeah. I think I am going to change tack a little and perhaps post a bit more personal stuff here, just because I feel weird enjoying reading about other people and not sharing, myself. It's just that when my life is not being depressingly stressful, it's just really dull, so...yeah. Not gripping. Also, I really suck at responding to people and keeping up with things, sometimes. Fair warning.

But anyway, I think I will try Snowflake Challenge because it's short and low-maintanence and may actually help me to reach out better to people.

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

Hmm, well, number one would be Pray You, Love, Remember. (Merlin, Merlin/Gwen/Gaius, PG) It's my firstborn, so it will probably always be my favorite. It was my way of dealing with maybe the most clumsy awkward botched way of ending a series ever, and was cheaper than therapy. When I first wrote it, I was of course focusing on Merlin, but when I re-read it now I focus a little more on Gwen, too, and how she really kind of got a raw deal the whole time, including the end, and then I hope that at least my story helped make things a little better for her, too. Also, Gaius. <3

As far as things people won't see as much, I like Caturnalia. (Cats On The Internet, Lil BUB/Grumpy Cat, G) I will tell you right now, if I am not staring at pictures of Colin Morgan, I am staring at pictures of cats on the internet, and these are my two most favorite cats in the world (well, after my own cat, but he doesn't do internet). It's silly, which is nice, because my writing is usually so SRS BSNS and ponderous and this is just light and goofy and dumb. And I like the title.

Now, as much as I want to play it safe and just recommend innocuous things, I think I will put a porny one up for my third one. My current favorite in that category is Stick Shift. (Merlin, Merlin/Arthur, PORN) I like it because basically Merlin is being a huge dork who wants Arthur to read his mind...and then on top of it Merlin realizes that he's asking Arthur to do something that neither of them really has any idea how to do and they have to figure it out and there is much mental flailing on Merlin's part and OMG I heart them both so much. So even though, as I said, I write with all the grace of a battleship trying to turn a hairpin corner, I giggle inside every time I read it. And then I need to go spend time alone in my bunk. This pleases me. Also, I LOL at the title. Stick. Stiiiiiiick.

Anyway...this actually cheered me up quite a bit writing this. Yay! Hopefully I will have time to do Day 2 today, too.

In your own space, promote three communities, challenges, blogs, pages, Twitters, Tumblrs or platforms and explain why you love them.

I am going to be a dirty dirty cheater girl and promote slightly more than three. Ha.

A Shot Of Colin There are of course many sites that have pictures of Colin Morgan on them, but this is the one that I check damn near every day. You just never know what is going to show up next, and that gives it the air of being on a treasure hunt. Then there the excitement when everyone squees over a particularly good snapshot or a new development in his career, and it's lovely. The person who runs it seems to be a very lovely, respectful person as well, which is always a plus.

A Year's Bill Of Fare A blog about a daily menu from a 19th century cookbook. I love things like this, seeing what people ate/actually wanted to eat at various points in time. Admittedly I have not been keeping up with it much, and I mostly want to put it here to bookmark it for later. *selfish*

The Mid-Century Menu Something similar, only for mid-20th century food. That is a brave, brave woman.

Gode Cookery And this is for medieval food. They also have an AMAZING amount of woodcuts and illuminations. Beautiful beautiful art.

Lastly, BPAL.org This community focuses on perfume from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, which is how I initially got into wearing (and loving) perfume. One caveat is that I haven't had the money or mental energy to buy any perfume for the past year and a half, and so I just kind of bowed out and haven't been hanging out there anymore. But when I was there, they had all kinds of reviews and perfume recommendations and squeeing over other things like soap and books and gardening, and there was a Walking Dead thread that I loved reading/posting in. It was my one-stop shopping for hanging out, for a long time. Every now and then I consider going there and just poking around for the occasional perfume swap or maybe even someone who likes fanfiction, but I haven't gotten around to it, yet.

And those are the types of things that I consider fun/interesting.
